How would you write the formula of the conjugate base of the Bronstead-Lowry acids H2SO3 and HI?

##HSO_3^(-)## and ##I^-##
The Bronsted-Lowry definition for acids is that they are proton (##H^+##) donors. A conjugate base is the species that is formed when the proton is donated.
In the case of sulfurous acid the result is a bisulfite ion:
##H_2SO_3 ->HSO_3^(-) + H^+##
For hydrogen iodide, the conjugate base is just a iodide ion:
##HI -> I^(-) + H^(+)##
