Write an essay (1,250-1,500 words) that analyzes Escobar’s thesis and compares and contrasts his theological contribution with other theologians discussed earlier in the course. Your paper should explore the various components through which he builds his thesis, and critique the idea that Christian theology is contextual by engaging with other theological schools from an American and/or global setting. Your paper should contain the following components:1) A brief analysis of Escobar’s thesis and how he elaborates it in his book.2) A discussion where Escobar’s contextual approach is compared/contrasted specifically in relation to one theological theme (God, Christ, Holy Spirit, Bible, Salvation or the Church) with two other contemporary theologians (e.g. Barth, Tillich, Bonhoeffer, Moltmann, Pannenberg, Rahner, etc.).3) A summary of how Escobar’s overall theological contribution either expands or challenges the theological perspectives of the two theologians chosen.4) If you were in a culturally diverse ministry setting, how would these perspectives influence your ministry?Use a minimum of 3 academic references to support your ideas.Prepare this assignment according to the APA guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.
