How do physical properties of metals differ from nonmetals?
February 20th, 2023
Metals are generally good electrical conductors and good conductors of heat. They are malleable (can be beaten into this sheets) and ductile (can be stretched into thin wires). Most are shiny because the surface electrons are good reflectors of light.
Most non-metals form individual molecules instead of extended solids and are poor conductors of heat and electricity.
