I need to respond back to my instructor’s comment. At least 75 wordsHello Pedro,Thank you for your response. Did you take a direct or indirect approach in writing your letter? Could you describe the distinctive characteristics of both approaches and support your response with in-text citations? Any additional information you can provide would be much appreciated. Please let me know if you have questions or need more clarification.George <<< Replied to post below >>> Authored by: Pedro Rodriguez Authored on: Apr 10, 2017 5:07 PM Subject: Negative LetterNegative letters are always difficult to write. It is never easy to tell someone something negative in a manner that would still maintain the respect the two of you have for one another. I have personally experienced this challenge in my workplace occasionally. One incidence when I had to write a negative counseling statement was when I had to remind one of the soldiers in my platoon of their responsibility to show up to the weekend drills. My counseling statement focused on emphasizing the rules governing the weekend rules and the punishments that a soldier would have to undergo if they failed to attend some or all of the weekend drills. This was in line with the course readings about sending negative messages. It is important to ensure that there is a clear explanation about the reason behind the negative message so that the recipient cannot get a different understanding of the issue (Bowman, 2002).ReferencesBowman, J.
