Indirect characterization.
indirect characterization is characterization that is implied through clues, using dialogue, actions, appearances, words, effect on others, and thoughts. Direct characterization is stated directly in the narration of the text. Instrinct motivation is motivation to do something just to do it. Extrinct motivation is doing something for a reward, like money, prizes, etc.
